Throughout many years, Aid To Schools charity organization has been able to brighten up blooming futures. Since the beginning, friends from all around the world has been get together to achieve all these past great social endeavors.

As the next step of the great social cause, this year we are planning to help primary school students from Welikanda. Welikanda is a one of the rural areas located in North Central province in Sri Lanka. Even though it is a very rural area in the country with poor facilities, humanity and sincerity are rich in these peoples’ heart and soul.

Sooriyapokuna Maha Vidyalaya in Dehiattakandiya is clearly a place bursting with enthusiasm, energy and willingness. Despite all these difficulties, the sheer effort and determination that has sunk into these student’s and teacher’s souls is what drives the very aspiring future of this school, students and teachers. The school may have only handful of teachers, but the teaches and principal of the school are the world bests; they teach their students how to dream big. “We only had determination, and courage and hope of our students in possess at the beginning.

Kadawathamaduwa Dharmapala Junior School is situated in Dimbulagala Divisional Secretariat division closer to Welikanda area in Polonnaruwa district. This area has been categorized as a very difficult area by the government due to many economical, geographical and social problems.Economy is based on agriculture and majority of the dwellers are farmers .

3 weeks of intense planning, calculations and recalculations, long shopping lists (as long as it could get), a number of trips, heavy loads, long nights, hours of calls with FOC, coming up with most eye-catching designs and strategies to present AidToSchools colorfully yet proudly in front of the public, and last but not least, ‘The Cooking’; not just 1, not just 2, but for 3 days!! hours and hours of work.

Pattiwela Primary School is a rural village in the Matale District. The School provides education to around 250 children in the Galewela area. Most current Children come from very poor backgrounds. We found that some children have both their parents abroad, leaving the children in the care of relatives. Other parents work as laborers earning a meagre living, not sufficient to even feed the children.
